Hi 🙂 I’m Laylaa. I am…
A Yogi. A bookworm. Crazy about animals. A Nature enthusiast. A Foodie. A Designer of jewellery, clothing, and pretty much whatever tickles my fancy. A Dreamer. Filled to the brim with wanderlust. Born and raised in “Jo’burg”, but a global citizen.
Ever since I was a little girl I have loved reading. I read books by Enid Blyton, dreamt of adventure and aspired to one day write my own magical stories.
Since then I have read many different kinds of books, but one that made a great impression on me is called A language older than words. Derrick Jenssen writes about how once, long ago, there was an unspoken form of communication between humans and all other creatures/elements. To many this may seem like fantasy, but to me it makes absolute sense. I think this “sense” he talks about is what we call intuition. Sadly, in our industrialized, high-tech world, we have lost this strong sense of inuition, this connection we once had to all things. We seem to have forgotten that we are as much a part of nature as the trees and animals. Many of the systems that make modern lifestyles possible are based on the control and destruction of natural beings and systems.
